Here,
it seems as if Weschler is still somewhat doubtful of the stink ant and he doesn't expect Eisner to also believe in Wilson’s study on the ant because he
responds in shock when Eisner says that everything is true. I guess that after seeing some of the displays
in the museum that sparked doubt in his mind probably made him believe the ant
story was false. However, Eisner confirms that maybe the specific ant that is
said to have inhaled the spore is probably not given that name, but the events
that lead up to the death of the ant art fact. Along with the evidence Eisner
gives Weschler and the picture that prints out of the machine, it seems to open
his eyes to what Wilson has told him. It does Wilson justice to make him seem
more like a credible source and that he is not a fabricator.
