Clifford 1-26

Initially, I was overwhelmed by the writing of this piece. Clifford seems very wordy and descriptive, a contrast to Redfield. Soon, however, I got used to the descriptive, intelligent conversational yet lecturing tone of his voice and sunk into some of this things he was getting at.  I especially appreciated how Clifford wrote about how ethnography is not something that can really be confined into one category.  It is a type of research and writing that can hold several forms and disciplines. He akins ethnography to poetry, having "poetic dimensions" and such.  I like this viewpoint, because I think that it is necessary to have dimensions to ethnography for it to be successful.
