Corruption. Lies. Deceit. Boo continues to elaborate on the problems the characters are faced with by telling a story about their lives. Her depiction of Abdul's time spent in jail was sad and horrifying. Knowing that where they sent Abdul is only a juvenile detention center makes me wonder about the devastation that occurs in the actual jails in India and how Abdul narrowly escaped being charged as an adult in this circumstance.
